THE HEAVENS ARE INHABITED by Jim Cunningham
The Bible teaches that the heavens or space is inhabited and has been inhabited since its creation in the beginning (Genesis 1:1).
Revelation 12:12 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. This is clear enough that there are beings dwelling in the heavens. They dwell on the planets as God created the planets to be inhabited including the earth (Isaiah 45:18).
Colossians1:16 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: From this we can see that there are things in heaven, even thrones, dominions, principalities, and powers. These thrones, dominions, principalities, and powers are like the earth originally had; for the earth was originally ruled by the angel Lucifer (Isaiah 14:12-14; Ezekiel 28:11-18). He was only one of the many angels who rule over the various planets, but he rebelled against God and was dethroned from his rulership of the earth as is seen in Isaiah 14:12-14; Ezekiel 28:11-18.
From these few Scriptures the Lord has shed light on the truth that there are various thrones, dominions, principalities, and powers in the heavenlies, and that these heavens are inhabited. Jesus Christ; Redeemed other things in the heavens through his death
Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven,
and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be
thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Col 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;
Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth,or things in heaven.
What is important to be noted is if we have contact with creatures or angelic beings from that region we must challenge them on their message to us as the apostle Paul noted.
Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Christ is using the Church to teach and bring revelation to those who dwell in the heavens concerning God's eternal plan for all of his creation at ALL LEVELS.
EPH; 3:9;10 & 11
Although I am less than the least of all God's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. 10His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,
11according to his
eternal purpose which he accomplished
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
